Friday morning we woke up early to go to Cafe Du Monde to get beignets. They were SO delicious. We went across the street to Jackson Square to eat them and enjoy the morning and beautiful weather.
When we returned to the conference I got a chance to hear from some amazing speakers, including Luke Wyckoff– Chief Visionary Officer of Social Media Energy and Carol Koepke- Senior Marketing Director of McDonald’s USA, LLC. That night everyone attended the competitions ceremony where we got to hear from the second keynote speaker, Nate Riggs, who spoke about embracing disruption as technology becomes more and more advanced every day.
That night for dinner we went to Pat O’Brien’s for some classic New Orleans food. I, of course, had to have a hurricane since we were in New Orleans after all. Next we had fried alligator for an appetizer. SO DELICIOUS!! I cannot believe I tried alligator! Then for the final course I got pasta primavera, which was also delicious.
Afterwards we had another great night on the town. Join me again tomorrow to read about my final day in New Orleans full of sightseeing and more of the conference.
Little Matters,
Marissa
