When It’s Good Not To Be Home #PassportToComedy

Passports to Comedy Hyatt Regency

Have you ever felt like you just needed to get away from home for a while? Traveling frees you from your everyday routine, introduces you to new people from around the world, and lets you set your own schedule – or no schedule at all.

When I’m not at home, amazing things seem to happen. I learned how to be more productive when having less time to work while traveling around Croatia. I completely unplugged for four days with no Internet access or cell service in the Dominican Republic. I understood the importance of education and how to be happy with less when volunteering in Zambia.

While I love living in Boulder, I also love escaping the “normal” to get away from home. I learn something new from every single trip I take, as traveling and being away from home help me to see from a new perspective. You never know what you might discover, or how much you will actually enjoy not being at home!

Hyatt Regency wanted to share that feeling with guests of why it’s good not to be home, so they launched #PassportToComedy and teamed up with Comedy Central to bring in a cast of comedians – Megan Gailey, Andrew Kennedy, and Negin Farsad – to interact with unsuspecting travelers in several of their hotels across the United States. After all, laughter is the best medicine – and a great way to get someone’s attention!

Watch the best moments, bloopers, and jokes from #PassportToComedy in the video below.

Travel can have all kinds of ups and downs. It can be challenging and frustrating at times, especially when plans don’t work out the way they were supposed to, or when you are trying to get around in a new city. No matter what you face while traveling, coming back to the Hyatt Regency at the end of the day will cheer you right back up and will help you remember why not being at home is so great!
