Merry Christmas from Africa! Another day, but it sure did not feel much like Christmas. It was a beautiful day outside and we spent all morning laying by the pool. I even got a nice crispy Christmas sunburn. Never thought I would get to say that!
After relaxing for a while all the African Impact staff and volunteers headed out to Christmas lunch together. Although it took even longer than African time to get our food, we made the best of it and played different games while we waited. We also did a Secret Santa gift exchange with all the staff and volunteers that made Christmas seem a little more like Christmas.
The lunch was a delicious feast with ham, turkey, chicken, and lots of veggies. We even had dessert at the end. All in all, it was a really great way to spend Christmas in the company of a wonderful group of new lifelong friends.
Little Matters,
Marissa
