Why Your Next Group Outing Should Be at Copper Mountain

Welcome to Copper MountainWhether you are looking for your next family vacation destination or if you are in dire need of another getaway with your best friends, look no further than Copper Mountain! No matter what season it is, there are always plenty of activities to do and affordable places to stay that are perfect for traveling as a larger group. Read on for my top five reasons why your next group outing should be at Copper Mountain!

Lodging Suited for the Whole Family

Copper Mountain offers a variety of choices when it comes to lodging. Family style rentals like Elk Run are perfect for large family trips or getaways with a group of friends. Splitting the cost of these types of vacation rentals with a big group can actually make for an inexpensive stay, and you’ll have all the amenities you would be used to back home! Pick up some groceries and cook to save money on food, hang out in the living room to play games or watch TV, and even wash your clothes so you don’t need to re-wear the same smelly ones.

Wide Variety of Amenities and Activities

Not into skiing or snowboarding? No worries! Copper Mountain has plenty of activities to suit everyone’s interests, both on and off the slopes. Guests who book their lodging through Copper Mountain Reservations have complementary access to the resort’s Athletic Club, which offers a 25-yard indoor lap pool, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, a weight room, tennis courts, and a cardio center. For an additional cost there are also racquetball courts and massage facilities available.

There is plenty of shopping in Center Village if you’re looking for some souvenirs or new ski or snowboard gear. You can also take advantage of the West Lake Ice Skating for free if you bring your own skates, or you can rent skates for $10. In addition to ice skating, you can make use of the broomball and curling equipment or hockey nets. Soar above the ice rink on Copper’s newest attraction, the Alpine Rush Zip Line!

For a slower pace activity where you can still take advantage of the snow, try Copper Mountain’s free snowshoeing tours. There is an easy and a more advanced option depending on what you are up for, and you learn tons of interesting information about the resort and the nature around you from the wonderful ambassadors that volunteer to guide the tours. If you still want to hit the slopes but not on skis or a snowboard, head over to Copper Mountain’s Tubing Hill for some family friendly tubing!

These are just a few of the winter activities that you can take part in at Copper Mountain. Visit in the summer as well for even more Copper fun like hiking, scenic chairlift rides, bungee jumping, go-kart riding, mini golfing, and more!

You Can’t Go Wrong With Restaurant Choices

There are plenty of options from pizza to burgers to sushi and more when it comes to eating out at Copper Mountain. Although I haven’t tried them all, every one of the restaurants I ate at during my visit were above par in satisfying my hunger. For a tasty treat, stop by Sugar Lips Mini Donuts, or have a more hearty meal at Endo’s Adrenaline Cafe. Just getting off the slopes at the end of a long day? Head right into Incline Bar and Grill for some delicious drinks and appetizers.

Events You Won’t Want to Miss

Copper Mountain offers a ton of free events and concerts throughout the year. Check out their events calendar to see what’s going on when you’ll be in town! We had the opportunity to see Copper’s WinterBike when we were visiting. Not only did we get to watch all the competitors riding up and down the slopes and through town on fat tire bikes, but Copper goes even bigger and has music, fireworks, and more to make it an extra lively celebration!
