The morning involved waking up at 5 am and cleaning the mud off our feet with the muddy puddles of water. Good enough for the day! We had a cold breakfast to have something in our stomachs and ventured off to our first game drive at Chobe National Park.
The first game drive was a bit chilly since it was so early in the morning, but we got a chance to see so many different animals. Before we even got to the park we saw both an elephant and a warthog on the side of the road.
We pulled up at Chobe National Park and had to drive through some thicker trees before we were able to see any animals. Once we did we saw loads of animals: Herds of impala, hippos, water buck, more elephants, baboons, and even some giraffes. It was amazing to just watch them live in their natural habitats.
After 3 hours we headed back to the campsite to have a big, delicious hot breakfast and chill out for a bit before the next game drive. Because of the different temperature and different time of day, we had a chance of seeing a different variety of animals. We saw many of the same animals, but this time we were able to see an entire elephant family! The adorable little baby was only 2 weeks old! So cute.
After the second game drive we went back to the campsite and got ready to hit the road. We had already packed up the car so we were ready to leave fairly quickly. Besides for some rain we hit when we were about 30 minutes away, heading back across the border was quick and easy. I was so exhausted once we got back and enjoyed a nice relaxing night.
