I am completely in love with this beautiful, wild, surreal continent of Antarctica.

Antarctica has the windiest, coldest, and driest climate on earth. The weather is nice in this photo, but it can change drastically from one minute to another.

As humans visiting Antarctica, we are completely vulnerable to these conditions and are at the mercy of the environment around us. If we don’t listen to what she is telling us, we could end up in grave danger.

And yet, the decisions we make as humans every day in places all around the world are making Antarctic vulnerable and exposed to grave danger. There is so much life thriving there, as seen is just this photo alone. And we all can play a part in making sure Antarctica and its cute residents continue thriving. Everything is connected, and the more pristine we can keep our global environment, the better for Antarctica. 🇦🇶

The #1 question I got before my trip to Antarctica: Why?

My response: THIS.

This trip was my far the most surreal travel experience I’ve ever had, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. If you’ve ever considered a trip to Antarctica, this is your sign to do it.

This journey was through @sheswanderful in partnership with @intrepidtravel. There are a lot of tour companies out there offering Antarctica trips, and my top recommendation when deciding on a company is to really look into their sustainability practices. Intrepid does everything they can to keep our footprint as minimal as possible, including carbon offsetting each expedition, avoiding single-use plastics, using biodegradable and phosphate-free cleaning products, and of course following all @iaato_org guidelines.
