Big life changes are in order! Last week, Brandon and I moved to the beautiful state of Colorado. We packed up my little Toyota Camry and drove the 15 hours straight through across the country.
The ride on our Colorado journey basically consisted of: snack, sleep, drive, repeat. Jammed between lots of clothes and boxes, it was a long and pretty uncomfortable drive that was worth every minute. Once we reached Colorado, the roads got hillier and the mountains began to appear far off into the distance. A beautiful contrast to the familiar midwestern flatlands I had always grown up with.
After being cramped up in a car for so long, it was even more exciting to be getting close to our final destination and new home. And it kept getting better! We finally arrived in Boulder to an apartment that I absolutely love with mountain views right outside the window and a town that has so much to do and see that it’s hard to choose where to begin.
Plus, we didn’t have to worry much about furnishing our home thanks to Overstock.com. You definitely get a great deal on the bed and bath, and it was so convenient for us especially since we weren’t using a moving truck. A few nights on an air mattress and our new mattress was delivered not to our door, but directly to the bedroom! How convenient! Join me next week to hear more about our move and our first Boulder experiences!
