Another year has come and gone, and as always, it seems to have flown past. I love looking back at my photos from the past year because it can be easy to forget about all the fantastic experiences I’ve had during that time. This year I’m sharing my 2015 with you in this Instagram roundup post!

I rang in the new year in Chicago, and took this just after ice skating at the newly opened Maggie Daley Park. While it’s easy to be deterred by the bitter winters, it can actually be a really magical time of year to be in the city if you bundle up warm enough. Here are 5 reasons not to avoid Chicago winters!

The University of Colorado Boulder campus is gorgeous all year round. This was from one of my morning runs when the weather had warmed up but snow was still coating the mountains.

Took a drive up Trail Ridge Road just a few days after it opened for the season at Rocky Mountain National Park. This was May and there was still loads of snow up top! For more photos from this journey, take a look at my Rocky Mountain National Park photo essay.

Ah, the beautiful city of Dubrovnik! Although it is the most popular tourist destination in Croatia, these views are totally worth spending at least one day here!

  1. I am not that active on Instagram but your photos make me think of doing so.

Thanks for sharing. I also did a rewind of 2015, not of Instagram though. 🙂
Wish you a very Happy New Year.

  2. Whoa Marissa,

You’ve really got me hooked on Colorado! That one shot of the snowcapped mountains is just awesome. Let me tell you. My wife keeps saying that we’ve gotta visit CO but yeah, it’s #1 on our list of places to visit out west. You shared so many other wonderful photos but I just thought I’d mention how spectacular you’ve made CO look. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing your awesome work in 2016!

    Take Care.
