Naturally, one of the first things we did after arriving in Colorado was eat. A lot. With so many new restaurants to try, we just couldn’t pass them all up! Here are some highlights from our Colorado Eats.
First up, and one of my favorites so far, is Sforno Trattoria Romana. My apologies ahead of time- I have been a bit off of my foodie game recently and was slacking in the photos area at the start of our foodie quest through Boulder. Bear with me… I promise the pictures will get better!
We started off with the Avocado Bruchette. And wow. The flavor! Mmmm… We also split the Penne Arrabbiata to top off our meal. The restaurant has a great atmosphere that gives you a little taste of Italy itself.
Next up is The Mediterranean Restaurant. This place was top of the line. Looking at the front of the building from the outside does not do it justice. We sat on the outdoor patio and enjoyed excellent service and a very informative waiter.
There are lots of tapas to choose from, but we were both immediately drawn to the Ajo Asado. Pair it with the Moscato d’Asti and savor every last bite because it will rock your taste buds.
As a basil and pesto addict, I also had to order up the Garganelli con Pesto, which was the perfect portion size and flavor. With the added pine nuts thrown in as well, it made for a delicious meal!
BJ’s Brewhouse is next on the list. This place is on top of their game. Three words. Parmesan Crusted Chicken. And yes, you better believe I finished every last bite of that ooey gooey madness!
Outside of the food, they have an app where you can sign up for their free rewards program that gives you discounts and freebies after so many points. We signed up and discovered that you can also pay the bill from the app, make a reservation, and even place your order before you get to the restaurant! And better than that… we got a free dessert for signing up! Meet the amazing Peanut Butter Pizookie!
The fourth and final foodie highlight for today is The Sink. One evening, we decided to venture over to an area called The Hill to walk around and grab a bite to eat. We were both very hungry and this place smelled the best so we opted for a nice outdoor table while perusing the menu. Burgers were the obvious choice, but little did I know how fantastic this burger would turn out to be. Add the sweet potato fries (crinkle cut too!!) and my mouth was watering to devour this jalapeño and avocado goodness.
And yes, we eventually did go grocery shopping so we could save some money and cook our own meals. With a spectacular grocery store parking lot view, I might add! 🙂
